Patio Door Replacement in Schaumburg, IL

Harris Roofing, Siding, Windows & Doors recently completed a patio door replacement project for homeowners in Schaumburg, IL. Because the homeowners were familiar with Harris Exteriors from years of working in their neighborhood, they contacted us to replace three existing patio doors with high-quality sliding doors featuring durable aluminum exteriors and beautiful real wood interiors.

Sierra Pacific Wood-Clad Sliding Patio Doors

The homeowners knew they didn’t want traditional vinyl patio doors. Instead, they wanted a premium option that combined the durability and low maintenance of an aluminum exterior with the natural beauty of real wood inside their home.

After exploring their options, they selected Sierra Pacific wood-clad sliding patio doors, an excellent choice for homeowners who want lasting performance without sacrificing appearance.

Our team installed three new Sierra Pacific sliding patio doors featuring:

• Exterior Finish: Clay-colored aluminum cladding for durability and low maintenance.
• Interior Finish: Real wood interiors stained to coordinate with the home’s existing woodwork.
• Interior Trim: 2½-inch Colonial Oak casing for a traditional, finished appearance.
• Door Style: Sliding patio doors that provide convenient access to outdoor living spaces.

Clay Aluminum Exteriors with Stained Wood Interiors

One of the most important considerations for this project was finding patio doors that complemented the home’s existing interior and exterior finishes.

The homeowners chose a Clay aluminum exterior for its attractive, neutral appearance and low-maintenance durability. Unlike traditional wood exteriors, aluminum cladding provides protection against the elements without requiring regular painting or staining.

Inside the home, we stained the real wood door interiors to match the surrounding woodwork. We completed the installation with 2½-inch Colonial Oak casing, creating a cohesive appearance that blends beautifully with the home’s existing interior design.
