Window & Patio Door Replacement in Wheaton, IL

Homeowners in Wheaton, IL contacted HARRIS ROOFING, SIDING, WINDOWS & DOORS after finding us through our nearby Glen Ellyn showroom. The homeowners live in a townhome and wanted to replace all of their windows and patio doors with high-quality products that would provide a beautiful interior appearance and a durable, maintenance-free exterior.

After exploring their options, they selected a combination of Marvin Ultimate clad windows and Sierra Pacific patio doors for their Wheaton home.

Marvin Ultimate Clad Replacement Windows

The homeowners really liked the look and construction of Marvin Ultimate clad windows.

The new windows give the homeowners the finished interior appearance they wanted while adding a durable aluminum-clad exterior. They selected a prefinished white interior, creating a bright, clean look throughout the townhome.

The aluminum exterior provides additional protection from the elements while reducing the ongoing maintenance associated with traditional exposed wood windows.

Sierra Pacific Patio Doors

For the home’s patio door openings, we installed new Sierra Pacific patio doors.

Like the windows, the new patio doors were selected to provide the homeowners with an attractive finished interior and a durable exterior suited to changing Chicagoland weather conditions.

Using premium products from both Marvin and Sierra Pacific let the homeowners choose the window and door options they preferred for each part of their home, rather than being limited to a single product line.

New White Colonial Interior Casing

Replacing the windows and patio doors also gave the homeowners an opportunity to update the interior trim around each opening.

We replaced the interior moldings with 2 1/2-inch white Colonial casing. The new casing creates a consistent, finished appearance that coordinates with the prefinished white interiors of the new windows and doors.

The result is a clean transition between the replacement products and the home’s existing interior.

Maintenance-Free Aluminum Exterior Finish

On the exterior, we finished the window and door openings with white aluminum.

The aluminum exterior finish helps protect the trim from moisture and weather exposure while eliminating the regular scraping and painting associated with exposed wood trim.

Combined with the aluminum-clad windows and doors, the finished installation gives the homeowners the low-maintenance exterior they were looking for.
