Our relationship with this homeowner began when we previously installed Andersen 400 Series windows in the home. When it was time for a major exterior update, they trusted Harris again.

The home had aging, oxidized aluminum siding along with Tudor-style stucco on the front. Several areas of the Tudor exterior were beginning to rot, and the homeowner was ready to completely change the home’s curb appeal. The renovation included LP® SmartSide® siding, Sierra Pacific H3 windows, a Therma-Tru® entry door, and J&N Stone Veneer.

Replacing Aluminum Siding and Rotting Tudor Stucco

The home’s original exterior had reached the point where both appearance and deterioration were becoming concerns. Rather than maintain the existing Tudor design, the homeowner wanted a fresh new look.

We replaced the aging exterior with LP® SmartSide® Lap Siding, giving the home a cleaner, updated appearance while providing the durability of engineered wood siding.

To create additional dimension, the homeowner added LP SmartSide shakes as an accent. We complemented the siding with 6″ LP SmartSide trim boards around the windows, a frieze board, and 6″ corner boards.

These architectural details help frame the new siding and give the exterior a more substantial, custom appearance.

Sierra Pacific H3 Window Replacement

Windows were also an important part of the exterior renovation.

Although Harris had previously installed Andersen 400 Series windows, two original windows still needed replacement. We upgraded those units with Sierra Pacific H3 casement windows.

The new casement windows provide modern performance while integrating with both the home’s existing replacement windows and the new LP SmartSide exterior.

Finishing the siding and windows as part of the same renovation also allowed our team to properly coordinate the new 6″ LP SmartSide window trim with the replacement units for a cohesive finished appearance.

A New Therma-Tru Fiber-Classic Entry Door

The homeowner also chose to include the front entrance in the transformation.

We installed a Therma-Tru® Fiber-Classic® front entry door system with two sidelights. The homeowner selected a Shaker-style door, which our team custom stained in-house.

The new door creates a strong focal point at the front of the home and complements the updated siding, trim, windows, and stonework.

J&N Stone Veneer Adds the Finishing Touch

To add texture and architectural character, we incorporated J&N Stone Veneer in several areas of the exterior.

We installed stone veneer on the front elevation of the garage, the chimney chase, and around the rear patio doors.

Using the stone in multiple locations helps carry the design around the home while providing an attractive contrast to the LP SmartSide siding.
